Allah & I is a personal journaling app. Your privacy is fundamental to everything we do.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app has no servers, no tracking, and no advertising.
Your journal entries are stored locally on your device in a private database. They never leave your device unless you choose to enable sync.
If you enable iCloud sync, your entries are stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. Only you can access this data — not even the app developer can see it. Apple handles encryption in transit and at rest.
If you enable Google Drive sync, your entries are encrypted on your device using AES-256 encryption before being uploaded to your personal Google Drive. The encryption key is derived from your Google account and never leaves your device. Even if someone accessed your Google Drive files, they would not be able to read your entries.
If you enable biometric lock, the app uses your device's Face ID or Touch ID to authenticate you. Biometric data is handled entirely by your device's operating system — the app never sees, stores, or transmits biometric information.
If you enable daily reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to any server.
The app collects anonymous crash reports and performance metrics (such as app launch time) to help us identify and fix issues. This data contains no personal information, no journal content, and cannot be used to identify you. It is collected through Expo Insights and is used solely to improve app quality.
The app uses Expo Insights for anonymous crash and performance monitoring. No personal data or journal content is included. The only other external services are Apple iCloud and Google Drive, used only when you explicitly enable sync. The app contains no advertising.
The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
